We’ve got a great event lined up for tomorrow! Check out the last post for a taste of the pieces we’ll be auctioning off. One of the pieces up for auction is by David Landis, the first artist to be commissioned for the Beltline project. Our keynote speaker for the evening is Fred Yalouris, the new Design Director for the Beltline and 11 year veteran of the Big Dig project in Boston. See you there!

Attention Artists!
August 28, 2009 by danihambyJust in case you missed the emails, here are a couple of deadlines to remember:
- Bio/description submissions are due no later than Friday August 28st. Please include picture of artwork with description. Note that you must assign a value and starting bid with increments to each piece submitted. Make sure to include your medium and specify easel/pedestal or special instructions. Forms are available on the Documents page under Artists.
- You will need to drop off your artwork CV Fine Art Services between 10:00 am – 12:00 pm or 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm on one of the following days. Thursday, September 10th – Friday, September 11th or Monday, September 14th – Tuesday September 15th. When checking in please ask for Stephanie Cone (scone@classicmovers.com) and if you need immediate assistance please call 404.315.7666. Make sure to pack and label all artwork delivered. Note any art not delivered during these dates will not be juried.

- The event is September 17th at the Knoll Showroom, 7 pm cocktail hour begins and silent auction is open. 8 pm the live auction begins. Your donation allows you one ticket to the event. Each artist will receive one free ticket to event. One additional ticket per artist may be purchased at a discounted rate for $10.00 at the door. Please check in at the preregister table upon arrival..

If you or some one you know is interested in donating a piece to this year’s Trash to Treasure event, please fill out the Artist Submittal Form Trash to Treasure 2009 and forward to the address listed at the bottom. Specifications for the artwork and additional information is listed on the submittal form.
This is a great opportunity to support the Beltline Project, network in the design community, and display your talents! Keep checking back for more updates as we draw closer to September 17th!

Artist Statement- “This is a lamp made from plastic spoons used in the coffee which are going to the garbage daily by the thousands because they are only used once.The objective was with this waste to create a luxurious lamp. “
